The Naval Dockyard is equipped with all the modern and sophisticated techniques for the repairing and maintenance of ships. It is owned by the government of India under the Ministry of Defence. Applications are invited by NDV for various posts of Tradesman and Charge man II under Group ‘C’ category which will be non-ministerial and non-gazetted. 326 posts are for Tradesman for the trade of Gyro Fitter, Computer Fitter, Radio Fitter, Radar Fitter, Weapon Fitter, Sonar Fitter, Electrical Fitter, Instrument Fitter, Boiler Maker, Machinist, Engine Fitter, Ref & AC Fitter, Welder, Painter, ICE Fitter, GT Fitter, MT Fitter, Pipe Fitter, Plater, Founder, Lagger, Rigger, Shipwright.
These positions are under the pay scale of Rs.5200-20200/- with grade pay of Rs.1900/-.
97 vacancies are for the post of Chargeman II in the technical field. This post is for the trade of Electrical Fitter, Gyro Fitter, Instrument Fitter, Radar Fitter, Radio Fitter, Computer Fitter, Electronics Fitter, Weapon Fitter, machinery Control Fitter, Boiler Maker, Engine Fitter, GT Fitter, ICE Fitter, Painter, Pipe Fitter, Rigger, Plater, welder, Lagger, PPC.
Pay scale of Rs.5000-150-8000/- for these posts.
Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years
Qualification:
For the post of Tradesman, candidates should possess National Apprentice Certificate obtained from Dockyard Apprentice School of Visakhapatnam.
For the post of Chargeman should have a degree in Science with Physics/ Chemistry/ Maths OR diploma in engineering in the relevant field.
Selection will be through written test and interview.
