Sunstroke is the form of hyperthermia in which the body temperature of the person gets increased. The sunstroke is also known as the heat stroke. When the body temperature reaches the 104 F and above particular person comes to have the problem. Due to the metabolism, the body generates the heat which is the needed amount of the physical fitness and when the heat reaches the limit the body reacts to reduce it through the radiation of the heat through the skin or by the evaporation of sweat. However, in a harsh condition such as in extreme heat, high humidity or the vigorous physical exertion under the sun the body may not be able to reduce the heat and the body temperature rises sometimes up to 106F or higher resulting to the sunstroke. Another cause of the heat stroke is the dehydration.

The dehydration occurs when the person may not be able to sweat fast enough to reduce the body heat which causes the rise in the temperature. The number of personals who is at the risk of this type of problems is the infants, the elderly personals often with associated heart disease, lung diseases. Kidney diseases or who are taking medications that make them vulnerable to dehydration and heat strokes, athletes, and the individual who work outside and physically exert themselves under the sun. Symptoms of the heat stroke can be such as heart attack, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, weakness, headache, muscle cramps and aches and dizziness.

Sometimes the person experiences the symptoms of heat exhaustion before the progressing to heat strokes. Sometimes the person comes to this type of problems without any pre-symptoms sudden effect is seen. Different personals can come with different symptoms.
