Josh Hamilton who was born on May 21, 1981, is an American professional baseball player. His full name is Joshua Holt Hamilton. His parents, Linda and Tony, were both excellent athletes.  He has played in Major League Baseball since 2007. He also played for the Cincinnati Reds. He is a four-time MLB All Star and American League Most Valuable Player in 2010. He is left hand batsman and throws by left hand. He is good player. His batting average is 311, Home runs 127, Runs batted in 449, Hits 731.


Josh was the first overall selection in the 1999 Major League Baseball Draft. After the draft, He signed with Tampa Bay, receiving a $3.96 million bonus, and joined their minor league system. In 2001 season, Hamilton got accident with his whole family. His mother and father were also got injured in that accident. Therefore he played only 45 games in 2001 season.

Due to accident, he did not play baseball match from 2004 to 2006. After some time, he return to baseball was helped along by former minor league outfielder and manager Roy Silver, who owns a baseball academy in Florida. On August 27, he set a Ranger record with his 24th three-hit game of the season. His talent and popularity becomes him famous. He known as his nickname “The hammer”, “Hambino” and his high school nickname “Hambone” tattooed on his arm.

Hemilton became rare person by using Drug, alcohol and cocaine. He finally got clean after being confronted by his grandmother, Mary Holt. In May 2008 Hamilton said he had not used drugs or alcohol since October 6, 2005. Josh stay in relationship with Katie. They got married in winter 2004. He has a daughter Julia from his previous marriage. He and Katie have three daughter named Sierra, Michaela Grace, and Stella Faith.
