‘Modi Means Business’ - Watch Narendra Modi on Time Magazine’s Cover Page
Time magazine's March 26 issue features Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi’s photo on the cover of Asia edition. Photo sees with the caption – “Modi means business, but can he lead India?”TIME Magazine is one of the world’s leading news magazines. The story is titled as "Boy from the backyard", in the forthcoming edition. They describe Modi as a "controversial, ambitious and shrewd politician". It also mentions his series of day-long Sadbhavana fasts to reach out to the people of the state.
Shri Narendra Modi grew up in a culture that instilled in him the values of generosity, benevolence, and social service. Under his leadership, Gujarat is witnessing the massive transformation in several sectors including education, agriculture, healthcare and several others. Modi is the latest among the only few such as Gandhiji, Sardar Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji and a few others who were previously on the cover. Many see it as an example of the world taking note of Gujarat’s model of development and the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
Even an overview of his journey in politics from grass-roots to the helm will speak volumes of his ever rising stature as a leader. He developed a clear vision of his own for the future of the state, launched policy-driven reform programs, reoriented government’s administrative structure and successfully put Gujarat on the road to prosperity.
The article of Times says: “Modi’s ability to get things done is in stark contrast to the Congress-led central government in New Delhi.” Time magazine describes Modi as a self-made man, succeeding without family connections adding that “Modi’s family is invisible in a country where nepotism and dynastic politics are the norms.”
Best wishes to Modi for appearing on Time Magazine Covers.
