University of Mumbai is a state university and also known as MU. The Uni. is affiliated to UGC, NAAC and AIU. The Governor of the state of Maharashtra is the ex-officio Chancellor of them. As of their advertisement; the university wants to recruit professionals in their organization. Interested Indian candidates who are eligible can apply with prescribed format.

Vacancies Details:

• 26 vacancies are for Professor
• 45 are for Associate Professor
• 53 posts are for Assistant Professor

These faculty posts are in various departments/ Sir J. J. College of Architecture and all are for regular basis. Posts are for the departments of Economics, Sociology, Civics & Politics, African Studies, Eurasian Studies, Statistics, Applied Psychology, Law, English, Mathematics, Linguistics, German, Arabic, French, Persian, Chemistry, Physics, Marathi, Hindi, History, Geography, Music, Kannada, Urdu, Life Science, J.J.C.

Pay scale:

• Post of Professor and Associate Professor are under the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000/-
• Assistant Professor’s pay scale is Rs.15600-39100/- with appropriate academic grade pay.

Eligibility: Degree of Ph.D in the relevant subject along with masters’ degree is essential for all the subjects.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of research/ teaching experience is required for the post of Professor, Associate Professor should posses at least 8 years of experience and Assistant professor, candidates must have passed NET conducted by UGC.
